Entry Requirements- USA and Canadian citizens only require a passport valid for at least 90 days beyond your stay in Latvia. 

Other citizens should contact their area consulate or embassy.

Climate- Humid to temperate.  Warm and mild most of the year, but winter can be harsh.  Temperatures range from the twenties to the seventies in faranheit in most areas. 

Language- Latvian is the official language.

Major Cities-  Riga, Jurmala, Jelgava

Cuisine- Traditional Latvian meals often center around a cut of beef in a cream sauce.  Lots of cabbage, breads, and potatos.  Hotels usually serve breakfasts hosting European staples like sandwiches and cheese, as well as North American foods like pancakes and eggs.
